The tool is the org chart
Every AI rollout redraws who talks to whom. Most companies only notice when the meeting invites change.

When a team adopts a new tool, the announcement talks about features.the medium is the message, said in the passive voice of a change deckafter McLuhan What actually changes is the shape of the conversation: who asks, who answers, and who no longer needs to be in the room.

Every organization already has a second org chart, drawn in questions rather than boxes. It shows who people actually go to when they are stuck.Who did you ask last week? It is rarely the one on the intranet, and it is the one a new tool redraws first.
Put an assistant in front of a team and the lines move.a question is a small contract between two people Some stop at the tool. Some go to whoever learned the tool first. The expert at the top of the chart gets fewer questions, and different ones: the hard cases, the exceptions, the things the tool got confidently wrong.
Fragments, not chapters
None of this shows up in a licence count.Plate 1 ↑ Adoption dashboards measure seats and sessions. They can’t see the lines in Plate 1, because the lines aren’t in the tool. They run between people.
Plate 2 · a camera, pointed backTry it. Fifteen people, one expert, three tools to hand out.
The score at the end is not the point. Look at where the lines went, and at how much the expert still answers. That number is the new org chart.
